Hour of the Wolf and War of the Beard

#1 Post by Ricold »

I found these whilst house cleaning the Talismancy server. I thought I'd share the memories, assuming anyone remembers these?

Mmmm... yes. That brings some memories.

I'm still sad I couldn't name my battlegroup "The Berrywine Merryelves". :D

What was this about? Was it some sort of online campaign where you had a T-shirt in your sig or something?

While it would be nice (read AWESOME) to have another campaign, it's pretty time-consuming for the mods/people who have to run it IIRC.

Unless they could farm it out or something. . .

Wow I remember these. Didn't the tshirts start out when the Dark Elves blitzed across the map and razed Karaz a Karak? "I razed Karaz a Karak and all I got was this lousy t-shirt?" I seem to recall that. I also recall the desperate last turns as the Asur lines collapsed and we made a stand in our heartlands (zones in the mid 20s...) Jeez, is that really so long ago? :O

The only thing I remember is how excited and eager I was and joined, coordinated and moved according to my orders, only to quit half-way through my first campaign and the second one the system crashing. :D

Oh, I don't know. I kinda like Voodoomaster. He's a nice guy and I don't want him dead. That Eldacar guy, on the other hand, what a meanie.

And the loremasters with their dragons: pooky and fluffy come to mind :P

@The Silly Dragon:
It was an online campaign (well, hour of the wolf was one, war of the beard was another one (ulthuan in flames was the final one)), set in an alternate timeline where the dark elves triumphed during the sundering, drastically changing the events that followed.
You can find some of the fluff here: http://www.ulthuan.net/library/tales/chronicles.html
