A Yule Thread

#1 Post by Andruillius_2 »

Well the holiday season is about to kick in for real, so it's time to start some forum celebration.

Being from a country with one of the best yule celebrations (and longest holidays) around, I very much enjoy these days. And that Norwegian butter crisis you've heard about? Well, yeah, it's true, but personally I was never really affected.

So, this thread is for anything yuleish. I'll start off by posting a picture of one of the things that I will feasting on at family dinner the 24th. It's called ribbe.

Old Bart Barleywine! I've been itching for a couple pints of this stuff since we brewed it in November. It tastes like holiday spirit in a bottle  .

Well I for one am enjoying this vacation immensely. I wouldn't mind some of that barleywine, Spartan. Barleywine is delicious, and it makes me sleep.

This will also be eaten by me in not too many hours. They're dumplings made of pork meat.

If I am not mistaken, these are meat-balls, made of balls of meat :P
Unless, of course, they used to be dumplings, but then they took an arrow...

I voted no too. For this reason. ;)

Dogmatic....anyway

It's that day, one of the best days of the year. I beat my brother once in Fifa 12, thanks to penalties. It's a happy time indeed :P

Merry yule!

The original christmas based loosely around the summer solstice and the return of the light. Pagan festival etc.

Well I don't know about you guys, but I'm stuffed. Two days of excessive eating, and there's plenty to come. Good thing I'm going to the mountains to do some skiing.

Next dinner will be this, pinnekjøtt:
