Previous Visit... an eternity is real.

#1 Post by Lorthimer »

So... I just logged on here and it said my last visit was Oct 25, 2009. I remember being on this site a lot more way back when before all the different host server changes and address modifications. I remember helping Calarion with writing ides for Flames of the Phoenix and I remember when Etherion Fenix graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in music from UNC or Duke, don't hate I just remember it was in North Carolina, haha. I remember the young caledor prince who wanted to be Pendragon. I remember when I used to be called Lorthimer of Saphery, Warden of Tor Sayalath, Commander of the 4th Legion.... Some of these events were so long ago now... I'm positive they were 2004 or earlier... Where does time go? I used to be in High School and would come home each day and see what was happening in the world of Ulthuan. High School was 7 years ago now though.

Regardless, I am glad that this site is still here, it's like an old friend to me now, even though the names change and life continues. It makes me glad that people are still here getting as much enjoyment out of this as I used to! Here's a cheer and a bravo for the loremasters and site maintainers for keeping wonderful assests like this alive and kicking for so long!

I feel a bit embarrassed now because the post by Elias is directly under this one at the moment, hahaha. On a further note... I remember him writing poetry when I was in 10th grade and he had this wonderful poem I liked very much using ..... I can't remember the technical name now... but it was a poem about a castle tower bedroom with the red morning sun streaming in and the ivy growing on the walls.. it used a form or vowel aliteration if I remember correct.

Same to you mate, hope you've been well. I've been in the military these past two years and still have 3 more to go but the benefit is I'm in a larger area with gaming stores so.... time to dust off the old figures, haha.

Wow. I just realised that I was here for every single thing you mentioned in the OP. Where has time gone? I'm 26 and it feels like I should still be in High School...

Hahaha, I'm 26 also and wish I were still in High School, it's so unfair I know so much more information that would have been so useful then. I should amend my original post though because I think it has an error. I think it was Finuval who graduated Mahna Cum Laude not Etherion Fenix, but regardless, it was a long time ago now, haha.

I will be 26 in April! :D

I'm in a vocational institute right now, studying tourism. I'll be 8 weeks on Tenerife from january 8th 2012. Oh, and EU pays all my travel expenses. Sustainable Mobility and so on  . The place where I'm going is called Los Gigantes. My employer gives me clothes, accommodation, meals and 300 euros a month.

For once, life seems good.

That actually sounds pretty awesome indeed. Location, location, location ;-) I'm glad meals are included because 300 euros is only drinking money!
