it has been a while I do not enter Ulthuan. I have been travelling through the old World in search of Glory

The question is simple:
- who win between the ability of the VC Bat Swarm to give Always Strike Last to unit in base contact and HE Always Strike First ule?

Batswarm (in terms of rerolls)

if you have ASF + ASL you strike at initiative order and don't get rerolls, as they cancel out each other. Usually it is considered that multiple instances of ASF and ASL cannot be combined, so bat swarm against our great weapon dudes should still be in initiative roll.

But I have a further question: do the HE loose ASF in such case only against the Batswarm or, in case of a multiple combat such for example HE SM vs batswarm + Skeletons, they loose it also vs skeletons?

I take your question was "Does it only affect models that are in basecontact" then answer is no. It will affect the whole unit (and every enemy (from bat perspective) unit in base contact with them) including any characters. On the bright side our frost phoenix blizzard aura will also work against whole unit and will be really good against other elves as it allows us to regain asf and strike truly first

In this case the ASL special rule is conferred to the unit in B2B. Thus the effect matters when they fight both the bats and the skellies. The rule is not written such that it only affects them against the bats (i.e. when fighting this unit they get ASL).
