Tiranoc Chariot - Rules on Units question

My understanding of the rules is this

You can have up to 3 duplicate choices of Special Units (6 for a Grant Army)
Tiranoc Chariots can have a unit size of between 1 and 3

This means that you could, if you wanted to, have 9 chariots in the form of 3 x 3 (18 for a grand army 6 x3)

Have I got that right?

Also, a duplicate choice means the unit type, not what it contains

For example, you couldnt have

10 Phoenix Guard
20 Phoenix Guard
15 Phoenix Guard
20 Phoenix Guard with Magic Standard

Also, if you have a lord/hero on a Tiranoc Chariot, does that count as one of your special choices even though the points for the chariot come from the lords points allocation?

Incorrect. I'ts always unit type. What it contains isn't important for list building

No. It only counts into the relevant lord / hero allocation.
