Pha's and net can do a great job of helping out against war machines, but you have to roll them. Potential down side there. If you take 3 it's almost guaranteed, then you also have a s6 banishment. Something to think about.

What really interests me in this topic is the question of whether Light is best as a support for a monster-led army. I've been thinking about what would be best to protect/boost my star dragon lord. I've leaned toward L2 High and L2 Beasts, but 2 L2's on Light would be very interesting as well.

The only issue is how that affects army selection. If one were planning to have heavy cavalry support for your dragon lord, it might not be the best choice. If I was going with 3 L2's I would invest in white lions rather than cavalry, but I'd want the 12" stubborn ability from World Dragon. This could be highly effective.

I'm not 100% on the points, but cant you take 3 mages on light with scroll and coc with bsb botwd all in a unit of helms?
