Loremaster or Archmage

Hey guys

Just wanted to know your opinion on what would be the better option against VC. (3 terrogheist list)

Loremaster, Enchanted Shield, Book of Hoeth, Talisman of Endurance.

or

Archmage, Level 4, Book of Hoeth, Talisman of Preservation. (Death)

I also have a Level 2 in the army and can take him on death if the Loremaster is the better option.

I like the Loremaster better (even though he's been blowing up turn 1 recently). I think in this match up it would be worth considering to teem him up with a Light Mage (perhaps even 2 or an Archmage) for a Light Council type of build. Those 3D6 S5-6 Banishments might really hurt. Additionally, it a much more fitting lore to fight the Undead with. Death Magic? C'mon.

I was thinking Death simply because Fate of Bjuna, Caress of Laniph and Spirit Leech would work well because of the low Ld on the Terrogheist and the bubble from soulblight would be a bonus for shooting.

Im not worried about the zombie blocks as they are slow and cheap. And while Light magic is great against undead the only two spells id really want would be Shems and Banishment.
