is putting a noble on a tiranoc chariot worth it?

Ben.

When playing an enemy that has no honor, you'll sometimes have to get rid of your own too to ensure a victory.

It's a moot point.

I've long experience of running lords on chariots but the mechanics are slightly different. Obviously the Noble is cheaper and the Lord is more survivable and grants Ld10.

The Noble will hit almost as hard as a Lion Chariot (but with an 18" charge!). He's also US5, which is very useful for table quarters and obviously if you can get a flank charge in. You have the option of giving him Reaver Bow and the chariot is a great fire platform, as it can maneouver freely to set juicy shots up. It does tend to die against shooty enemy, so you may want to screen it with terrain and troops. It it goes down, the rider can be placed anywhere within 2", so will usually have a good move option. I've found that Shadow Warriors combine well with one.

You're welcome!

I've had a lot of fun playing characters in chariots. It's not the most efficient perhaps but it's certainly playable.

I would think that he meant that shadow warriors work well in conjunction with chariot characters by march blocking the enemy's units, in order to get the chariot into position, and against certain troops, with their 360 degree, 10" charge, they can coordinate the assault by charging the flank of a unit the chariot is hitting in the front, oh, and they can get to a crossfire position pretty easily, preventing the enemy from fleeing lest they be destroyed (not to mention finishing off the fleeing unit when the chariot lord breaks them)....Of course I could be entirely wrong here, but that's how I would use them together.

Depends - any army with access to a cannon should be avoided.

If you can flank a unit with it, that would be the most effective use, but to make it worthwhile, it would have to be a rather large one.

But this did not surprise them, for as it is written in the Great Elven Book of Knowing: Isn't life just one bloody thing after another.

Yep, plus they can screen it and if it goes down they are a ready home for the character.

I think of them as like ancient Chariot Runners!

Good point, I never thought to use them like that, I usually like to have my scouts scout.

It depends really. If I spot a vulnerable War Machine or a chance to march-block effectively I'll likely scout them. Not always though.
