It would let you take advantage of his ridiculously high movement and also sunfang's breath weapon. thoughts?

One failed Panic test and your haughty avatar of death will be running for his noble life. Also, what would they be able to beat?

he doesn't really need the reavers, hes better off alone than with the reavers.

Characters joining Fast cavalry units do not benefit from thier special shooting rules, so it doesn;t really work.

Nice idea, though. :)

True, but Tyrion isn't "shooting" per se. Quote: "Once per battle in the Shooting phase, Tyrion may release the power within sunfang." Nowhere does it say he shoots this power, merely the phase he does it in.

I would argue he's be able to do it.

As to the tactical decisions in keeping Tyrion with Reavers? Well, he's have a bodyguard against shooting and be able to hunt warmachines and small weak units but he wouldn't be the nasty combat beast he is otherwise as anything in combat with him would just target the Reavers and get easy CR.

Can't you march and shoot with Breath Weapons?

"A model with a breath weapon may use it in the shooting phase, even if it has marched" BRB page 94.

This might be a little OT, but I couldn't find a clear cut answer to this and it pertains to Tyrion. Can he be put on a normal cav base because he is US2 or does he still have to be based on that ridiculous 50x50 mm thing.

I guess this is important because a min unit of 5 Reavers with Tyrion and his own base is a 7 wide unit, a bit bulky and probably not worth it but then again they get free reforms.
