The golden crown, it protects you against a killing blow but what about a bolt thrower or cannon shot? I have always assumed it does protect from that but I'm not sure. Happened in a game I got shot by a Spear cukka wich could have killed me but I said It didnt since he would be protected from the crown.
However does it discount multi wounds or just one of the wounds from that D3 wounds ?

Discards the first wound, the wound never gets through and therefore can not be multiplied.

If it says "each unsaved wound" then it ignores it, if it says "each wound" then it is multiplied before saves.

Wounds are multipled after every save is done.
A cannon rolls "to wound" once. If you are wounded, you discard it. If you can't discard it or save it, then you multiply it.
