Thanks Rod, I use the airbrush a ton now, from priming, zenithal highlighting, and doing the base colours in glazes.
The tanks all need weathering yet, especially the WWIII stuff.

I like tanks, but strangely, my 40k, Horus Heresy, and Bolt Action armies seem to lack armour. I have bulk tanks for my Flames of War though.

I think massed armour is kind of suited to smaller-scale model games.

O, it's not that I don't like tanks. It's more that I know nothing about them. And for some reason don't get near them very often...

Model wise I prefer other stuff I think. I think that if I would play 40k I would play Orks instead of space marines. Reason?

And similar models. What's not to like ;)

Like the Stompers of course, that started life as an Epic model.

But yeah, just great!

Space Marines have cool tanks too~

To be fair, this is forgeworld, but you can use it in 40k too.

That is pretty cool indeed. Though the ork ones are still better ;) It's hard to beat randomly built killing machines with spikes ;)

Oh hey, I'm painting Fantasy again, some White Lions just because I'm sick of getting whaled on by the local ogre player.

Yes, YES! Those are looking very good - I assume there's 30 more coming, for a 40-strong horde?

Nope, eleven more, for an even twenty-one, or thirty-one if I join them with my Iron Wolves. I really just need them to deal with the damn monster of theirs which keeps lowering my Initiative. I'll start with two units of ten, so at least one will be in a good position to counter it. If these don't work I'll paint up my old metal ones as well and try the horde.

Nice, I run 21 as well! It does hurt when you start losing dudes, but it allows the unit to keep a lower profile before it hits :D

As they should be fighting the big beasty, they will be stubborn, and do d2 wounds each, which will take care of it. My Sword Masters can take care of the ogres, along with my Dragon Princes.

starting to look good. 21 are usually sufficient to deal with a monster. Though they need to reach it first... Of course, I issues can be dealt with with a Frostheart. Bypass I altogether and just give them ASL...

Of course, a bunch of shooting or magic can help as well.

I saw the trailer for Warhammer Total War II yesterday, and it featured Teclis, so I thought, why not paint mine?

Yup, why not?

I'm looking forward to seeing it painted - going for a classic colour-scheme or do you have something special in mind?

Not really sure hey, he has a lot of detail, so classic scheme can work well.

Looking forward to seeing the model painted. The traditional scheme will indeed work well on him. And should make him fit into the rest of your army nicely.

So 8th Ed is back, a 2400 point event is happening in the nearest large city(Brisbane).
I recently picked up some second hand stuff like this Phoenix, which I intend to finish.

Nice to see you around again :)

From the looks of it, the phoenix has a nice base to work off. Adding a couple of layers of hightlights and picking out some details should get him in fighting shape relatively quickly.

What list are you thinking of taking to the event?

Did you see the Secret Santa Griffon I did years ago? That was purple, this is kind of purple.

I don't even know where he is, in a box somewhere primed, and zenithal highlighted I think.
