Been a while guys, but in that time I moved house hey, cool excuse right?
I've had quite a productive weekend already:
Friday I finished off a few models for my Infinity, they are no over 300p, ready for Paradiso:

Image

and Saturday-Sunday, I painted up all the Infantry for my 300p of Dust Warfare:

Image

That Dust stuff just needs basing, and the Armour Camo patterns and it's good to go.

Public Holiday tomorrow, I might finally start on the Secret Santa model, updates for that won't be posted here ^_^

The problem with playing so many systems is I'm not very good at any of them, but I do have a lot of fun.

do you find rules bleed through into the wrong systems in your recollections?

Nah the issue is remembering rules takes up time when I should be thinking of tactics ^_^

Hahaha!
But how can you think up tactics when you don't remember the rules?

EXACTLY!

I started the Secret Santa model today, after the cool Griffon I did last year, I'm not really feeling challenged hey.
I'm already bored with it, a little ^_^'

Well, having fun is the main point of playing games. So you're at least getting that part right. :) I agree with the others that the amount of different systems you have is impressive.

How's the new house? Is it an improvement over the previous one? And, importantly, does it still have a hobby area for you?

New place is an old Queenslander style place, the veranda has been converted, so I have a 'sleepout' and the main room I've turned into a gaming room, display cases against one wall, computer in one corner, hobby supplies in another and a table in the middle. It's a bit tight but so much better than before ^_^
I'll take a few pics tomorrow after work.

yes is pretty impressive how much stuff you are collecting and painting now.

Thats why the whole ''warhammer experience'' used to be so good back in the 90's. it did let you play many differnet games and systems with a lot of similarities in the rulesets and of course in the type of units, equipment, etc.

I just wish I was a better painter ^_^

Have I mentioned yet that I'm getting a wood elf army, and I already have a dark elf force that needs work?

I should be finishing off my Secret Santa, but I'm sick, and just don't feel I could do the detail work well enough. So I broke out the airbrush and primed all my Dropzone Commander UCM, except the infantry.

Image

Hopefully I'm feeling better tomorrow, so I can finish the SS piece. It has a long way to go, and really ought to be in the post already I think

Ye gads I've been slack on this forum.
This weekend I'll do an update, I'll have to see where I'm up to, and what I've done.
One update that I can see straight away, that Dropzone Commander stuff is all camo'ed up.
I still haven't touched the Infantry stands.
I don't think I've gotten into any more 'new' systems, but my Wood Elves arrived.
They're going to be a lot of work, and I keep putting them off ^_^'

Hey Elessehta,
I have just finished all 74 pages of this painting log (among other things) and it is really awesome. You have some lovely mini's and its great to see a number of different gaming systems. That's a whole lot of high elves though. Glad you enjoying playing games for the fun of it rather than just winning.

Cheers,

WN

Thanks mate, I have at least half a dozen tournaments coming up, but yea, I only attend them for the social aspect, oh and to support my competitive friends.
I have a ton of photos to upload, I've done a lot of hobby since I was on here; the Dropzone posted up there is all camouflaged now, and I've converted some cool things for my Dust Warfare.
I need to work on my Star Dragon for QNK Crusade, I'm planning on running a Double Dragon list at the event. So I'll post pics of where I'm at with him, and of course do WiP pics as I go along. He's actually mostly done, but the Prince hasn't even been started. I might touch up my Dragon Mage while I'm at it.

That's the best way to approach them, you are more likely to enjoy the tournament than if you are always worrying about your Win/Loss stats. What is dust like to play? I recently looked at some awesomely painted dust stuff and was tempted to order a load.
What point value is the tournament? Look forward to seeing the finished dragon!

Yea, I've done a lot of Hobby, but I have been neglectful in the way of photographs. It will take some time to organise what I've done and show it off ^_^
Some stuff is easy though:

Dust wise, I've started basing them, and done the base coats on a Combat Platoon:

Image

I only play Warfare, so can't tell you how Tactics or Battlefield is, but it's a solid tactical war game, with great fluff, and super cool models.
As much as I like the models, I have been converting mine, I swapped all the American heads for British, and I've been converting up my own walkers for the force:

Deadzone, I may have told you guys I have a Reb force for this game by Mantic, I smashed them out in one night a couple of weeks ago.
Pretty average paint job, but for just a couple of hours work late at night while I was bored, not bad.
It's a fun skirmish game.

I've done a fair bit of work on my Dropzone Commander too, there has been a bit of a resurgence of late at club with it.
Three guys just decided to grab it, so it's getting played more. The Infantry is done, unless I decide to try and do a camo pattern on their uniform.

Image

I've also gone through and camo'ed a lot of the vehicles, I have a lot more to do yet, and foolishly ordered more.

Image

I've actually done a little more to them than that image shows, but don't have a newer photo, it's too dark to take photos now.
