It's a big jump from unit champion to prince, but while painting this guy, I decided to try a technique I saw used for power weapons in 40k on his sword and it turned out pretty well, so I started paying more attention to him.
He is made up completely of the plastic core (and ex-core) sets, so spearman, archer, and silver helm parts. I started making all of my unit champs kit-bashed, but he is definitely my favorite so far.
All pictures are taken on my cell phone, as I don't have any kind of high quality camera.
I'm probably going to post somewhere else asking for people's opinions on a good foot-prince or hero builds. I am aching to use this guy now.

Nice current/traditional High Elf color scheme!
Great pose.
Overall looks like a really cool model.
The photo takes away a bit...
Try different ranges with your camera-phone and be sure to let it focus on the actual model...I'd love to see this in focus.
Post another?
Oh, sorry, I meant to add that the shield looks really sharp...nice rune!

Awesome pose! Looks really natural, and often the plastic kits don't. Hard to see the painting because of the pics.
The best build for a prince on foot is White Sword, Talisman on Loec, and either Armor of Protection or Armor of Caledor+Guardian Phoenix.

Couldn't agree more. The pose is truly heroic, and it doesn't look awkward. Camera is blurred so hard to tell too much painting detail, but it looks clean, and i'm liking that swordEärendil wrote:Awesome pose! Looks really natural, and often the plastic kits don't.

Great model! It's quite simple to create nice looking champions and heroes for you army by using spare parts from kits. I also like the crackling energy technique you used on the sword. Very nice.
