Howdy! These are the stipulations to a mini league that I will be joining:

500 points allowed:
0-1 hero choice
Min 2 core choices
0-1 special
0-1 rare (if no rare is taken, an additional special may be chosen)

Here is my idea:

Noble, longbow, heavy armor, 99 (noble will stand back with the archers and shoot away)
10 archers, 110
10 Spearmen, 90
5 Dragon Princes,1 50
Great Eagle, 50

Total 499

I was debating about switching the DP with 7 swordmaster's, and then adding a RBT and giving the noble a shield for a total of 499-150-50+105+100=504. But then I am 4 points over. Please let me know what y'all think!

Thanks for y'all's help

P.S. Go Deutschland!!!

My first instinct is that you are getting taken advantage of due to the list constraints. High elves are an elite army and as such are not required to take as many core units as other armies. I would lobby with your league organizer or your league members to allow the high elves to get around the core unit rules. In our army book we don't require 2 core until 2000 points. Maybe they can allow you a second special as long as it is not a duplicate special or something.

That said, if you do have to stick with min core, I would change the dragon princes to swordmasters, and change the noble's longbow to the reaver bow. At 500 pts the reaver bow should be phenomenal and it will make up for not having an RBT allowing you to keep the eagle. Also give him a great weapon and dragon armour. Stick him in the spears and have missile fire coming from 2 units then.

Battle Standard Bearer. Don't leave home without it.
