2250 Caledor themed list

Hi guys,
am new on here, and thought i'd post up the list ive been playing with recently.

its going well in recent games, about 40% win ratio so far, usually takes me a game or 2 against each race to get to grips with how best to play it.

here goes.

Prince, stardragon, Armour of Caledor, Vambraces of defence, sword of might.
Dragon mage, l2, 2 scrolls, silver wand

10 archers
10 archers

6 dragon princes, full com, banner of ellyrion
6 dragon princes, full com, warbanner
12 phoenix guard, full com, banner of sorcery, amulet of fire
2 RBTs.

comes to 2245.

any thoughts?

I've been playing a twin Dragon list for the past 9 months, and I would seriously recommend making space for the Radiant Gem of Hoeth on the Prince. This'll give you a 4th dispel dice as well as the +1 to dispel which can be vital against certain armies especially Vampire's with lots of little spells. I'm constantly playing with his set up but at the moment he's set up like this:

Dragon Armour, Shield, Lance, Foe Bane, Temakador's Gauntlet's, Radiant Gem.

This give him a 3+ armour save a 5+ Ward save against most things, wounds almost anything on a 2+, cause he can hit single wound creatures at str6 on the charge or hit big characters and monsters with his magic sword. He usually takes Portent of Far off Heavens to help prevent Rubber Lance Syndrome.

The other thing i can suggest is MAKE ROOM FOR AN EAGLE! they are probably the best value unit in the game, certainly in the army. For 50 points you get a unit that can hunt Wizards, distract, deflect, drag hating units where you want them, (usually into the path of a star dragon) as well as taking out warmachine crews. Other than that It's a good list

Btw Napes: If you're have a magic weapon you can't use a mundane one instead

Portent might be interesting on Dragon Breath.

12 seems a little small for phoenix guard.

@geo Agreed, maybe swap for WL but then you need fear protection and have to find a new home for the BoS.

You really need an eagle or two. I would advise you to drop the command from the warbanner DP unit and use those points for an eagle.
Other than that it looks like an interesting list, the RGoH on a dragon mounted prince is interesing, I've never seen that before.

You have not been playing it right - if you have a magic weapon you have to always use it - you cannot use the lance on the charge to get S6 and then switch to foe bane.
