1500 point list

[Citizen Militia]

Now first I will say I am unbeaten at 2k+ but less than that normally ends in disaster. However I have been offered a 1500 point game this wednesday so thought I would give it a crack. Also (rather unhelpfully) my opponent has 6 armies and I forgot to ask him which he will be fighting with. I would guess its his empire army since thats the one he's currently building and he's trying to get in lots of practice with it ready for a big tournament in april. Either way analyse this list as you would an all comers list

I've generally gone for a caledor theme as normal but I decided to experiment and try to throw in a magic phase

Unbeaten at 2K+ and a caledor theme, sounds lurk cheese!

The list looks strong other than the lack of look out sir, one extra DP adds many benefits. Other than that looks like a hard list

unbeaten in like 6 games, all at 1999, 2000 or 2250; However less than that my record is atrocious, I think I managed to get a draw. But I really do struggle, my last game I got massacred by O+G at 1k... though I know I rushed that game cos I was running late for somethign else. I've only played about 11 games total since a long break from the game.

I always run that unit of 5 DPs with champ/helm of fortune and BSB and yeh I know he doesnt have look out sir but its never been a big issue before. At any rate if the enemy brings cannons (which if its empire he will do), I will most likely have 1st turn and have multiple ways of targetting the cannon crew on my 1st turn

EDIT* hang on, why would I not get the look out sir? I thought off memory it needs one rank but it says in the rulebook that any unit with 5 or more R+F models. So 5 DPs is fine, right?

Just played, I got a solid victory. It was against O+G in the end, tried writing up a battle report and then realised I forgot how and when half the things happened. So it would have had no value to it at all. Had a good game though

Only thing was my magic was rubbish. Everytime I include magic I seem to msscast and then roll a 6, this time I had to watch as my opponent declared waagh on my turn and started moving everything forward. He did get quite a lot of luck on the first 2 turns but the middle third of the game is what won it for me.

I anhialated his squig hoppers, chariot and big guns all using dragon princes and by the time they looped back round to bear down on the rest there was only going to be one winner.
