Friendly 2250 HE vs Skaven

I'm not to experienced with warhammer so any advices would be welcome.

Book of hoeth for getting spells through on MR units
lvl2 mage for extra magic protection and for suport

I have played two matches against skaven so far and from my experience the seaguards have performed better then I have expected, especially thanks to the second mage, so was thinking of using them as the backbone of the army.

Why dont you take out the two LSG units and include 2x units of 10 archers and 2x units of 24 spearmen in order to allow more maneuverability and to give you more units since you are coming up against a horde army.
Take out the silver wand and a dispel scroll on the mage and give it the seerstaff of saphery so you have more control over your magic phase and if you want, take out the book of hoeth and put the silver wand, ring of fury and a powerstone on the archmage because the book isnt very "friendly" and its also quite risky because you are very prone to miscasts at 5+ dice.

Sticking with your concept, I would absolutely drop some sea guard in order to make the Phoenix Guard bigger. Get them to size 20, so you can take a couple casualties and still have full rank bonus.
