Debut 1k list..growth advice

My first HE list:
Noble w/reaver bow/mask of merlord
Mage lvl 2 w/ high magic DS/power stone/silver wand

2x15 LSG + FC
5 silver helms +musician
bolt thrower
eagle

This is roughly 1000 points,it's a battalion and a few heroes.
I am considering whether or not the LSG would be more effectively feilded as a single big unit for static purposes.

I'm unsure what to get next.
my main opponents are dwarves,LM and O&G.
O&G doesn't much concern me.I expect to suffer badly at the hands of skinks and dwarven thunderers.

I want to get SM...but I doubt they would reach combat.
Chariots will be blown apart by cannon fire.
White lions seem like the only feasible aggressive alternative+a good stubborn place to bunker my general.

There is really nothing to say. It's everything you own, so whether it's good or not, it's basically what you have to field.
In general, it is an Eagle, an RBT and some weak units. Use the Silver Helm models as DPs, pick your favorite elite infantry unit and get some of those, drop some of the core.

I'll put it to you this way...say this is your army and your expecting to face dwarven gunlines/artillery..OR...heavy skink harrasment and a fat tooled out slann. Those are my opponents at 2k...I'm just deciding what to buy next,and since high elves are hella expensive (grossly so) ,I don't want to make expensive mistakes in troop selection.

everyone says use the SH's as DP but it just seems gay to just call'em that w/o converting or something.

our only real option against a slann in temple guard is to walk swordmasters into it and hope (or shoot it), so i'd go down one of those two routes with your next purchases: some swordmasters or some bol throwers.

How do you deliver the SM? Most lightly armored units are skinked to death by that time.I'll be running two RBT's and 2 GE's at 2k though....Do you think it would be better to just try and avoid the slann? it's neigh unbreakable as it is.

You use dragon princes, solo characters and shooting to strip the skink screens away, letting you run at the slann. (as long as there are no engines the army isn't OTT)
