Need help with dragon list at 2k

hey all, never used a dragon in warhammer before altho iv played for more than 10 years now, high elves seem a good place to start with one lol

I dont know what a typical star dragon list would include so iv written up a little list that is hopefully quite fast but also survivable.

here goes:
Prince, Lance(not his name haha), armour of caledor, vembraces of defense, amulet of light, star dragon
L1 mage, 2 scrolls
2 x 10 archers
2 x lion chariots (go together on one flank hopefully breaking ranked squads like i did against 18 saurus just the other day maybe steam roller with good manovering
5 x dragon princes, champ, standard, ellyrion
tiranoc chariot (goes with DP's for double charge, obviously alongside the woods)
7 x sword masters (hopefully should be ignored with the rest of my bigger units bearing down on him)
2 x great eagles (march blocking, mage hunting...the usual)
2 x RBT's
= 1956, 3PD, 3DD+scroll+scroll
2 characters+dragon, 2 core, 5 special, 4 rare

any thoughts people? main enemies will be lizardmen and bloody dark elves! lol altho DE player isnt a very good player normally lol

On the whole pretty solid I'd say.

The Prince can't take a scroll as he isn't a wizard (it's an Arcane Item). Amulet of Light or Gem of Courage are good alternatives. You need some scrolls though so I'd recommend taking two on the Mage instead of the Crystal. I'd have to question whether the second level is worth it as your opponent only has to dispel one effort.

Most players would take an extra character but your set-up is viable IMHO.

Thanks for reply, i thought about amulet of light so i guess that will have to do, totally forgot about mage only scrolls lol, so swapping that and then putting two scrolls on the mage at lvl 1, that leaves me with 40 points to spend...what on though? any more thoughts?

I would suggest halbred instead of lance as you get str 5 every round instead of just str 6 on the charge and str 4 every other round after..

I would take a Skeinsliver on a DP champ. Useful item.

field shadows and two eagles and maybe,through numbers,a unit of those will survive against magic and bowfire to do their job,though i suppose it could be argued that as bait they succeed.are there enough other damage causers to tip the balance when dragon and princes get stuck for more than a round of combat?(e.g vs assassins,beast cowers,saurus)

i agree,but he'd have to go on a donkey-where else could he go?..i've never tried Alith Anar or this shadow noble.do you play him as delaying sacrifice/target hobbler?
