2k beginner high elves player, long time warhammer player

Hi all,
Only started with HE recently but played warhammer a number of years, just wondering if this list is viable, i feel it may lack proper combat but with careful use of the movement phase and a back up of magic i hope it will work, iv always been a magic heavy fan so had to include Teclis lol.
so here goes:

lvl2 mage, ring fury, silver wand
18 spears, warbanner
10 archers
15 white lions, champion, lion standard
2 white lion chariots
6 sword masters
2 RBT's
= 1989, 10PD+Teclis D3+bound fury / 6 DD+Teclis D3+Scroll

11 excess points left over so far

The banner of arcane protection seems overkill, you have 7-9 dd, a scrolla and a super scroll, thats a bit excessive.

yea i thought that but theyre one of my main killy units so i thought they should have extra prtection just to be sure, maybe the warbanner on then? to really make sure i win combat?

The accepted wisdom is to give them the lion standard, the immunity to fear meaning they still get to test on an 8 even when outnumbered by a fear causing enemy.

so if i give the white lions the lion standard, should i give any banner to the spears? or maybe add 1 more sword master, and a musician to lions too? taking me to 1997

The warbanner is good in spears.

Yes BoAP is a hugely overpriced insurance in this list. Take balance banner. Now the lions might actually stand ground. If you go big T, go all the way, take the sorcery banner. You already ruined your friendship with opponent so it does not matter if you double ruin it. Eagles should be the first model beginner should buy, paint and place to army. I'd take follwing (ok, I know these my suggestions begin to look alike)

Lvl2+wand+fury
Lvl2+seer+scroll
2x10 archers or archer spear combo, if you find points
13+ lions with balance banner and skeinsilver
5 DP+sorcery banner
2xtiranocs or 1 lion chariot
2xrbt
2xeagle

It is just that much fun to pump decent amount of power dices, there are just so much pd restrictions in tournaments nowadays. ETC and WPS (or what it is called) can kiss my behind.

I hate going into combat without fear proving my army. I like the lion standard on the spears, PG instead of lions (give them the banner of sorcery). I hate White lion chariots, too many points in a unit that can be wiped of the board with one STR 7 attack. On the other hand i am big fan of tironic chariots, fast manureable and relatively cheap. Take at least one eagle, dragon princes with banner of ellyrion and gem of courage can be a big plus, hide them in woods or other feature until the enemy gets to close or sneak up to the enemy under cover.
