Haven't posted here in ages :) I'm planning to be there, though I'm starting a new job a few weeks before that involves some weekend work so not 100% sure. I've been to the last 4 I think, which were really good. God knows how this one will go with all the end times rules though.

Great, I bought my ticket today. Next step will be the flight and how I can bring my miniatures.

So I finally decided for the final army list and took already a picture of it for my army roster.

Image

I will play an army from Avelorn and Saphery:
Alralielle, Avatar of Isha
Loremistress
Noble (BSB)
5 Ellyrian Reavers
5 Ellyrian Reavers
5 Ellyrian Reavers
32 Maiden Guards (Sea Guards)
21 Swordmasters
2 Boltthrowers
Frostheartphoenix
Flamespyrephoenix
and a Warpfire Dragon

As the whole event is End Times and with the last End Times book there are no more restrictions, it might be hard to compete with this list. If the dice for magic are with me, I have lots of spells to cast.
But since I have to travel by plane, I need to take my stuff as hand luggage.

That army is really nice! Only potential issue is that you can't play with non GW models at GW stores/HQ. Is the BSB a GW model?

I'm not really compared images, but it looks like carhadryan with a banner instead of his halberd to me.

just looked. It's not him. Could be his mirrior image, but it's not him. Maybe it's based on the old DP champion? If not then it's not GW and they won't let him use it' Really really dumb in this case, as GW has obviously made some money off the creation of that army...

Next they'll be saying you can't use models painted with non GW paints...

Agreed it's a dumb rule. I guess they want people to bug their stuff though the odd single mini here and there can't hurt I'm sure.

Yes, neither the BSB nor the Loremistress are GW modells. If they won't let me use them, I take a Teclis model and a converted Maiden Guard champion to replace them with me. Funny fact is, that the person who made them for me, works now with GW as a figure designer. ;)

No, I gave him sketches and tried to tell him what I wanted.
I asked him for a female sword fighter, when wie still had the previous army book. Now it is my Loremistress. And for the BSB I wanted an arrogant elf in that pose holding Hits helmet.

Any tournament that would turns those models away should be shut down.
Ah, Floorhammer. A time honored tradition. Sadly, I no longer play since my brother tripped and right-angled the spears of a 15-man regiment.

Throne of Skulls is the one tournament in the world where you cant use those models.
For the dwarfs, there was only this. Hammerson met Grombrindal’s gaze, and the White Dwarf nodded slowly. If it must be done, let it be done well. Whether they were dead or alive, that was the only way dwarfs knew how to do anything.

And Grombrindal said "10 from the back, yeah?"
