Dogs of War

Can you not take them anymore? I don't see them in the army lists on GW site

I don't know if they're GT legal, but most RTT and independent tournaments will let you use them. I don't know why they wouldn't be legal and GW events though, since OK and Kislev can be used by the main armies as Dogs of War.

The newer books no longer allow you to take DoW as Rare choices, and it is my understanding that they are no longer a legal army to play in the GT format.

Well - that is shame - DoW regiments used in low quantities could add some flavour to ordinary armies - not to say they had a nice figures which might be used instead of ordinary ones for the same reason - look and a flavour.

DoW are no longer supported by GW; some tournament organizers will permit you to use them. On the whole, they currently have the same status as Chaos Dwarves and Squats.

Yeah but with Empire or Bret rules you could make a cool "count as" force with them.

After being eaten by the Tyranids I'd say no.

I see. :(

Personally I really liked them and can't for the life of me see why GW axed them in favour of, say Necrons.

I do wonder if it was down to Andy Chambers.
