Questions regarding Ethereal units.

#1 Post by Rumor »

Came up in a game tonight where a unit of VC Black Knights pursued a fleeing eagle and then came into contact with a unit of Ghouls, we couldnt find clarification on if Ethereal units can move through friendly units or not at any point in their movement so wanting to put the question to the masses here, when if at any point can a Ethereal unit move through a friendly unit?

Also on a related note, if a flying unit flees does it go over any impassable terrain/enemy units in its flee route? or does it get destroyed like other units.

It goes over.

And the knights will stop right before the ghouls.

Ethereals like any other unit may not go through friendly units, ever.

obviously if the flyer lands right on the terrain/enemy unit it dies as normal.
For the dwarfs, there was only this. Hammerson met Grombrindal’s gaze, and the White Dwarf nodded slowly. If it must be done, let it be done well. Whether they were dead or alive, that was the only way dwarfs knew how to do anything.

And Grombrindal said "10 from the back, yeah?"

Ok sweet as, in the case of a flyer rolling less than its pursuer but being able to go further because of going over a terrain feature or another unit (so the pursuer had to stop short of what the flyer rolled) it still gets cut down right? rulebook says you get cut down as you turn and flee not where you run too so thats how we have always played it.
