You cannot march through difficult terrain. Obstacles are difficult terrain. You therefore cannot march over them. That means if you are M5 infantry you can only go 2.5" over an obstacle. Its very clear.
If an obstacle is more than 5" away (again assuming M5) then you can march up to it, but can't begin to cross it until next turn. If it is 2" away from you at the start of your move you can move 2" up to it, spend another 2.5" to get over it, and then move another 0.5" beyond it. Meaning the front of the unit should be 0.5" beyond it, so it will take more than one turn to cross.

Thanks that's how we have been playing, just needed it claryfying really, half of the players in Warhammer use one way, the others use the other way.ZehKaiser wrote:You cannot march through difficult terrain. Suck's that a wall takes a full movement turn up though
Sometimes it takes more than one turn to get over it even if you have a long enough unit. Most people think that is a bit too oppressive.
If you and your opponent think it takes too long to get over it then you might consider allowing marching over it, or to just make a house rule that says you move up to it one turn, and you make a "Move" past it the next (but not march).
Or something to that effect to make it less overbearing. Up to you and your opponents.

Before. First cast spell, then dispel attempt, then resolve the spell.Lordy wrote:Another quicky for you guys.
Magic question
I cast "fury of kaine" or any other magic missle successfully, does my opponent try and dispel before or after we measure to see if the spell is in range?
