Re: The Endtime Story Competition - FANFARES
Well, I dreamt about fighting side by side with Malekith yesterday and today I had a dream conversation with Teclis. I guess it is a hint this is long overdue. Sorry for the delay, but… life.
So here it is, sound the fanfares!
Congratulations to Headshot for a well deserved win. He let us feel the loss of Ulthuan in full. How are we to survive without a Shadow Prince to save the day I do not know.
There will be a title as soon as Spires gets around to it! I know, Spires…
And here is a little preview of the artwork in progress.
Haagrum has left his lone Sister of Slaughter trying to find new life in Athel Loren. Great story and well deserved second place! Now… a sequel? Please?
Makiwara at the third place danced through the cataclysm in most characteristic way. May Loec reward him with interesting times ahead.
The rest of the stories was quite enjoyable read as well. Thanks to all participants for a good time spent reading. We’ll see if I can arrange some little thing to mark your efforts.
Karalael Moonsinger had buried his namesake in a pile of dead Druchii, Larose added a double twist to his already tangled storyline, NCEITFOA’s story was perhaps most interesting take on the End Times story. Davariel truly got to the End, leaving a sole Elf survivor, but the final ending was left quite open… and then Aicanor came in saving some books and so as Ulthuan teared and drowned around her.
Feel free to comment!
