Oh, next up is a jolly romp through the Realm of Slaanesh with our friends, a fact finding mission if you will.

I must admit, even at the expense of my own ego, I'd really, truly, appreciate some feedback on this chapter guys. It's one of those things that you just begin writing and the words spill out, so I'd really love an outside perspective.

Thanks and much love.

I was a little confused by new names and all the action in scene one, but by the time you took me to the realm of She-Who-Thirsts I was gripped. Delighted there are more chapters to read now :D

Edit: I should say, I don't read many online stories and I think with short stories in particular it does take a scene to get into it...and it was describing madness, where an Asur force led by shadow warriors was sent to relieve Druchii but went all darkside on them instead and then, of all things, the Asraii are sent in as the law (on Ulthuan still). It reminds me of the 'where does your allegiance lie' thread, where I love the fact that there are so many broken choices, all of which I enjoy but none of which I'd personally singly prefer, and the 'purest' high elf option is the Aeanar...which you summarily break down here. Captured a really great angle on it all.

I reread the start now and read to the end and glad for it. Complete, it is a gripping story with rather unexpected twist. All hail Loec.

Big thanks to Larose, Avarael, Ferny and Aicanor for their kind words and reviews. I did try and carry a unique perspective towards the End Times, I mean I chose Loec as my army's patron God for a reason, I've always liked the elves at their balance point between light and dark, civility and savagery and I'm always trying to forge forward in that direction. I'm really glad people found the story gripping, it's always nice to get people invested in the characters and their story. Thanks to everyone who enjoyed the story!

@Ferny, the chaos of the first scene was something I deliberately tried to convey. The whole idea of Ulthuan breaking apart and falling beneath the waves whilst fighting a civil war which realistically would have been fought on small fronts all over Ulthuan as loyalties split all over the place and forces struggled to keep up with the constantly changing policies of the war. So I'm glad I could convey that level of anarchy, even if it made for some difficult reading at times.

@Aicanor, why yes; all hail Loec, who so far has been clever enough to stay out of this whole End Times mess and leave me space to fill my fluff. Very generous of him I think.

Sip of coke for the Laughing God! :P

I just read this from start to finish and I have to say, I really enjoyed it. I especially liked how you managed to weave a balance between the sweeping, epic changes affecting elven society and the intensely personal story of one Shadow Warrior. It's not something easy to do, but you pulled it off beautifully. =D>
