Hey all, I was watching this topic with interest, I was contemplating giving it a go, but you ran out of spots pretty quickly, but I noticed...
Yvran the Prince wrote:If anyone else out there wants to join, please feel free to do so.
So I would like to join. :D

If it is not too much trouble, of course...

Yeah that shouldn't be a problem, msg yrvan your character and then have him approve it. There's a spot because Elithmar is to busy apparently. :/

Yeah, PM me Cython. There is actually one more free slot though, as Mr. Brownstone never showed.

P.S. TSD, could you hurry up a bit? I can't post again until everyone's gathered.

Selthar is one of the Asrai Waywatchers, a guardian of the hidden paths of the forest. He is as good as any Asrai at archery, but he has a deep thirst for knowledge that is more common with the Asur. Instead of honing his skills of ambush and archery, he is always looking for something new to learn. This has led him to leave Athel Loren entirely and travel the world in a bid to satisfy his curiosity.
Elothral is his longbow, passed down through his family for generations. It is said that it has the power to fell a tree with one arrow. Whether this is true or not, it is certainly powerful.

Spirit 3
The Wild Hunt 5
All Asrai feel the effects of Orion's rebirth in Spring, and are inspired to do great deeds.

Physical 2
Elothral 4
This Asrai longbow is said to be able to fell a tree with one arrow.

Agility 3
Waywatcher 5
After waiting for weeks in the same place, the Waywatchers of Athel Loren burst into action with unnatural speed.
Asrai eyes 4
The Asrai are the most skilled archers in the whole world - their sharp elven eyes are key.

Mental 4
Thirst for knowledge 6
Selthar is always curious about anything new, and wants to know everything about it.
Elven intelligence 5
As are all elves, Selthar is naturally more intelligent than other races.

If TSD doesn't post is it acceptable for one of us to do it? i.e. Alithir looked up from his chair as a she-elf entered the room, etc, etc.

Hey all. This is my character :)

Lenaethis, Swordmaster Captain
As all swordmasters, Lenaethis is proficient with the great sword of his order. He is dedicated to removing the Cults of Excess from Ulthuan, and his current training revolves around the detection of chaos, in all its forms, as well as learning to separate his mind from his body's ailments.

Spirit 3
Acute Sense 5 - his training in the white tower has heightened his ability to process information from his surroundings. Lenaethis is very observant of his surroundings, is able to read clues from people's movements, giving him that much more time to react to their actions accordingly. He is currently learning its applications outside of combat.

Physical 3
Swordmastery 5 - As a swordmaster, Lenaethis has spent centuries training with his great sword, and is extremely proficient with it. He also has training with other sword-like weapons.

Agility 3
Acrobatics 5 - Again a byproduct of his training, Lenaethis is a very good acrobat, able to leap long distances, climbs well, and is also capable of other acrobatic manoeuvres, but he is hampered when fully armoured.

Mental 3
Bodily Disconnection 5- A type of meditation taught at the White Tower, Lenaethis has learned to separate himself from bodily pain, discomfort, and weakness, allowing him to train for days at a time without rest, or continue to fight on despite the most painful injuries (although this does not allow him to overcome crippling injuries such as a broken arm. He can fight on with a bloody gash through his chest, but lop off his leg and he simply cannot adequately fight!).

Detect Chaos Taint 5 - His long years in the Swordmasters has taught Lenaethis how to detect the touch of chaos, and is very capable of recognising the taint, as well as finding its source, if it is in relatively close proximity.

Just think Arratak your a unique character who will have unique thoughts and such for situations and in RPGs thats golden! I mean your probably the only one who wont recite poetry as we travel!

Nice characters but i thought Elithmar was going to do a Dwarf (based on nothing but a feeling).

Sorry if you were waiting for me as i was waiting for others but i will get a post up and have Cynthia arrive now. Might as well get this actual quest started...also intriqued as to what the quest involves.

I was going to post, but I don't quite know where I fit in with all these characters... perhaps I'll appear when everyone has met in the tower?

Your a Swordmaster and we are in the White Tower...i can't think of a better place for your character to appear. Maybe have it so you are escorting Yvran's character to meet us or maybe you get ordered to come with us. Maybe you burst in the stop the fight that could erupt thanks to Cynthia's hatred (don't worry Arratak she wont attack but i have to stay in character as a human in her mind would be an enemy) its up to you though but remember this is just to introdue the characters once we get started thats when the real stuff begins.

Cython, don't post quite yet. You are Kalossir's Swordmaster bodyguard. Also, he constantly uses magic to give you the slip. Elithmar, you came to the White Tower in search of knowledge but were refused entry so Kalossir offered to tutor you in his mansion. Burst in when he starts to explain stuff.

Yeah Cynthia doesn't trust well blame her past torture etc for this. But she does respect the chain of command only her character isn't going to be easy to get along with being a loner for the past few years etc.

Don't push Cynthia's buttons she is a mentally disturbed individual and you will do well not to make yourself a target as she can be very cunning and very ruthless. For instance due to that comment Arratak she may well not bother to save you when you need her in our travels... 8) .

Anyways can't wait to know what this quest will be and how it starts!

PS: Nothing against you Arratak its just in character! :P

Haha. With those daggers I'm sure Lenaethis would get the picture. He has seen what happens in the cults of excess, and he knows what DE are like. Shadow warriors can be just as cruel. :)

Extreme hatred of a race of torturers of the worst kind can indeed inspire one to be worse than the torturers themselves :)
