Simple majority, the absolute majority was abolished due to people going inactive and not voting. This forces people to be a part of the game or be removed from the game. I also like to think that giving each player a short RP background helps keeping the interest.Uther Di Asturien wrote:Wait, so is it a simple majority (more votes than any other alternative) or an absolute majority (meaning over half the votes for one alternative)?
Confused I be.

I agree, the short background really helps us get a feel of the characters, i like how it was put together this time. Although it would have been easier at first to use our own forum names so that we can identify each other easier, those who aren't so active i have a hard time remembering their characters names.

I made up the names and I still have the same problem. Especially when sorting out the PM's and results.

Thought I'd throw up a vote tally since no one else has:
8 voters:

Not cast yet: 4 votes
So half the votes have not been cast yet.

I wonder how many you tried to kill, don't tell us yet though, wait till the DaU is over.

So am I, but if it was say "you can see if someone is innocent/guilty and research one person each night" or something similair then we better wait being told till after the game, else it may affect how we vote. And meta-gaming ruins the RP.Ghost wrote:I'm also curious as to what the Witch Hunter's Special Abilities were

Provided you know them all. I had a habbit to invent new special rules for my DaU's, and ensured that each and everyone had one special rule or another. And no DaU I held ever had all the special rules repeatedThe Darkness wrote:I'll you guys after the game what they were and the effects of them assuming that Amun doesn't reveal it at the end of tha game

Just a heads up that this night is going to last a bit longer(by about 6 hours), which gives the couple people who haven't sent me a PM some extra time. I won't be able to post at the 24 hour mark, so I wouldn't want to end the turn early. Everyone's been great about getting their actions in for this DAU, so I certainly don't mind giving you some extra time.

Depending on how many gets killed it may get very tight yes. It also depends on how many assassins are in the game which we can't know. Typically the game ends once the assassins outnumber the non-assassins however. Or when the last assassin gets voted to death.Ghost wrote:It's getting tight, half the original crew is dead.

So, that places us at a tie:
3 for Elisabeth
3 for Ruprecht.
It should be noted that when I GM'ed this thing I was the bloodthisty GM who preferred quick action. ie. I would have executed both players. A tie should never be a protection.

I liek dis idea.. Although.. That'll cut our numbers to 4.. Which probably means we'll all die if both of 'em are innocent/goodies.Ruerl Khan wrote:So, that places us at a tie:

Fitting, because the greatest enemy in any DaU has always been innocent people killing innocent people. That being said, its 33% of the remaining players, which means we have 33% of getting an assassin too.NoOoDLe wrote:I liek dis idea.. Although.. That'll cut our numbers to 4.. I'd prefer not to have to kill off two people... It's much more fun watching you kill each other.
And there's still time to change your vote!
