Sorry, I was waiting for someone else to post theirs up...I'm still new at the SPAM thing and wanted to see some more skill examples. Plus, Ash took my idea og a religous, non-violent, bilinguist (Amish) :P . And then the draft/enormous need for soldiers thing kinda killed my idea for a retired-but-young military officer.

But ok, I'll cook something up soon.

Alright you all have had plenty of time to think about your characters. The deadline for them is Friday. If there are monumental difficulties in this, let me know and I'll extend your deadline, but unless otherwise decided, Friday is the deadline for your characters. If you haven't posted a character by then I'll re-open registration and the spots will be filled with whomever post their characters.

I know I was supposed to enter it now, according to myself, but really.. If I enter it now I'll be revising it 10 times before friday.

You're better off waiting one more day. =P And you'll get something you can count on rather than sheer randomness with munchkin sprinkles.

Name: Mark den Burcht

Nationality: Dutch

Age: 27

Religion: None. (He feels religion has abandoned him, thus he abandoned religion)

Appearance:

Mark is 1.85 meters tall and weighs around 70 kilos, looking rather skinny. His slightly torn clothes hint of his military past, with his camouflage trousers, army boots and old bullet-proof vest. Under the vest his wears a tight-fitting black shirt. A notable feature is the scar he has going from the back of his right hand halfway up his lower arm.

Mark has black hair at shoulder-length, neatly tucked in a ponytail. He has a bit bushy eyebrows, a thin face and dark brown eyes which emit a certain bitterness or frustration.

Background:

Mark doesn’t remember much of his past, aside from that he had seen quite some battle. It’s where his last memories lie as well. The first moments still there in his mind are that he had woken up on a battlefield, left for dead by his comrades. It soon became clear that with the current situation everyone was left to fend for themselves. Scavenging some weapons and tools he could find on the battlefield, he started to explore.

Though his memories were lost, Mark still had his experience. He had clearly been a military man in the past and he would have to put his abilities to good use if he were to survive in this apocalypse. He somehow ended up in Georgia, and realising that his chance of survival was small on his own he decided to look for allies.

Equipment:

- Colt M1911 along with 5 clips (7 rounds a clip)
- AK-47 along with 3 magazines (30 rounds a magazine)
- Survival Knife

SPAM:

Spirit - 3

Disciplined – Though he has no actual memories of his military training, it has certainly not been lost. Mark can focus on a task and will not stray from it easily. 2(5)

Physical - 3

Excellent Condition – Mark is used to lots of running, climbing, carrying and the like. It’s unlikely you’ll find him out of breath or asking for a break. 2(5)

Agility - 4

Firearms Specialist – Mark knows how to use various firearms and is adept at keeping a steady aim and the like. 2(6)

Stealth Specialist – Mark is good at staying off the radar, so to say. He knows how to move about without unwanted detection, which is useful for reconnaissance. 2(6)

Mental - 2

Quick learner – Mark can adapt to new situations without too much trouble. If he faces something complex and new he’s likely to make fewer mistakes than others. 2(4)

Name: Michael Kurtz

Nationality: American

Age: 33

Religion: Christian (Lutheran)

Appearance:

Michael is of average build, with dark brown hair and unremarkable facial features; there is, in fact, very little of interest in his appearance. He can rarely be seen without his German Shepherd, Marshall, at his side. To those who don’t know him well, this has become the one recognizable feature of note about him.

Background:

Michael is a Pennsylvania native, born and raised in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch country. Before the onset of the great war, he owned and operated a small brewery near his hometown, a business for which he was quite passionate. Fortunately for him, though, Michael was also a member of the Air Force Reserves when the conflict broke out. Rather than being drafted into Army service—a death sentence for many—he was promoted to officer rank (largely due to his college education) and assigned to an administrative post in Air Force Reserve Command Headquarters at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. He served here for the majority of the world war, living on-base with his dog, Marshall.

When the true horrors of the Apocalypse began to show themselves, causing much of the government infrastructure to collapse, Michael was one of the many military personnel rounded up ad hoc to preserve order in Georgia’s cities. Any hope of calming the populace was soon proven futile, however, as panic continued to spread, and even Michael’s fellow servicemen began to go their own ways amid the chaos in favor of self-preservation.

Now, Michael Kurtz is alone with his dog in New Rock, hoping only to find transportation back to his home and family Pennsylvania…though in the chaotic disorder, he is rapidly becoming a refugee.

SPAM:

Spirit: 4
Command Presence (6) - Michael’s tenure as an officer has accustomed him to acting confidently and with authority. When he leads, others tend to follow—including his companion Marshall.
Faith (6) – Michael is a devout Christian. It takes a lot to shake him from his beliefs and his trust in God, and this gives him strength of spirit in times when others might falter.

Physical: 3
Conditioned (5) - Michael’s military service has obliged him to stay in shape; he is thus more physically fit than an average citizen.

Agility: 2
Guns (3) – All Air Force personnel receive at least rudimentary firearms training. Michael carries a pistol and is proficient at firing it.

Mental: 3
Pilot (5) – Having been in the Air Force Reserves and the Civil Air Patrol for years prior to the war, Michael knows his way around an airplane, and has a private pilot’s license. He’s no ace, but he can get off the ground and back again.
Repair (4) – Operating one’s own brewery requires some technical proficiency, and Michael has certainly achieved that over the years. He’s gotten a knack for fixing mechanical objects of some complexity.

Aww, I didn't know it was about to start. Bad girl ](*,) No seriously, I didn't check Ulthuan for over a week, bad thing I know, I somehow figured Elias would warn me if the starting date of the game was posted. Hehe.

I'm honestly very very busy, it's crazy, however, it's not going to be monumental I'm afraid. Well, next post up is my character!

Name:Lola Sternewald. This is her artists name, her real name is Bettina Bergmann, however she currently lives on under her artists name.
Nationality: German and American.
Age: 39 (she's 41 and in denial).
Hair: Bleached with mid-brown outgrow 4 centimeter by now.
Eyes: Hazel
Posture and looks: about 5ft 9 ever in high heels, which makes her about 6ft 1. Slim, but not very. A bit wachacallit, the dictionary says as translation: tough/stringy /sinewy. She looks like she and her body have lived a whole lifetime already. Her arms and shoulders are quite muscular for a lady.
She dresses herself something between slutty and formal. Right now she's wearing a red blazer with pencilskirt and black leather boots. It looks remarkably clean and tear-free. She's good at ' finding' nice clothes here and there.
Her make-up is quite stylish for a owner of a nightclub. And yes, she still got her make-up, she's married with her shoulder bag, which contains all the beauty-things she might need. In this bag also live a very small handgun, a stiletto and pepperspray.

History:
As a 18 years old girl Bettina fled to the US to escape a formal life of boredom which her parents set up for her in Magdenburg. She met an American guy who was on a holiday in Europe and he would take care of her. In the US he turned out to be dull, demanding and a moocher in debt by half his family. She fled him and ended up as a waitress in a nightclub. Somehow instead this raw industry appealed to her as it was everything her parents would hate. She became a dancer for a while, but soon decided she wanted to be an owner, not a performer. She worked for years for this and managed to get her own club, by persistance, charm and very hard work.

For 11 years the (light-) erotic nightclub “ The Red Pearl”, a club in classic German Burlesque style, had been her life. The club was situated in Charlotte (North Carolina). It had been rather succesful, especially over the past years when burlesque caught up in popularity. After the start of the apocalypse, the city was as good as gone, including her club. All she could think of was going south, away from whatever it all was. Her experience with life on the streets brought her quite far, into this town.

Her plans are to wait until this craziness passes and then start over again. She thinks her industry will be one of the first to recover when the ' storm' is over.

Spirit: 3
Unsubmissive/unyielding : 5 she has been a boss for 11 years and radiates that. She doesn't act like an authority to people she respects or who radiate it themselves. Neither is she really unkind. However, she'll never act submissive (unless she falls hopelessly in love)
Distracting someone with charm and talking: 4 She'll be able to get someone chatting about nothing or laughing in any situation.
Able to act when afraid: 4 Although she might die from the inside, she still can keep her head cool

Physical: 3
Streetfighting: 5
Able and not afraid to use a weapon: 4 Self defence is a thing she learned very fast to survive in this buisness.

Mental: 3
Streetwise : 5 knowing who is probably a bad guy. Stealing when necessary. Surviving without any money. How to get away in a bad situation. Of course Lola isn't superwoman, but she has dealt with about every possible situation you might experience as a woman living a nightlife in a big city.

Agility: 3
Running and manouvring on high heels: 3 She's just really good at this.
Fast/flexible reaction when attacked: 4 She has a flexible body and fast reflexes, for an example when someone would attack her she's good at ducking and running away and such

Name: Valeska ‘Val’ Tadych

Nationality: American (of Polish origen)

Age: 24

Religion: raised Roman catholic, but never goes to church anymore

Appearance:
Valeska is 1.75m tall and a little more slim than average. Her face is long with a sharp jawline. She has straight brown hair just over shoulder length. Her eyes are dark and relatively far apart. Her skin is pale, her lips full and usually coloured bright red or pink. She wears tight jeans, low brown boots with a 5cm heel, a white top and a green leather jacket.

Background:
Before Valdeska was born, the Tadych family moved from a farm around Krakow to Miami, Florida. Her father worked as a metal craftsman, her mother as a cleaner. Valeska lived like an average American girl, had a lot of friends and finished her school with average grades. She left home at age 18, to live in a small appartment downtown Miami. First, she worked as a nurse in Miami Children’s Hospital. Later on she got a job at New Rock hospital in the ER and moved to New Rock. She has lived and worked there since, and stayed when hell broke loose.

During the famine and growing chaos, Valeska remained loyal to her job and went to the hospital every day to care for the sick and the wounded. The hospital’s resources began to run out. While the dire circumstances initally bonded the medical staff, the situation grew ever more grim as many of Valeska’s collegues became weak, hungry, irritable and self-centered. One evening, on the hospital’s parking place, two of her former friends assaulted her and she bearly got away. She hasn’t been to the hospital since then. Now she scavenges the streets and deserted stores to stay alive, always on her guard, for these are dangerous times for a girl alone.

SPAM:

Spirit - 3
Flirting look (5) – Valeska never had any trouble getting things done. She just blinks her eyes and smiles at the unsuspecting male (or sometimes it works on females as well), who will melt and be like wax in her hands.

Physical - 3

Agility – 4
Anything goes (6) – A strange talent to use whatever object is around for whatever goal has to be reached. Whether it’s blocking the lock of a door with a pencil, or fending off an attacker by sticking a fork in his foot.
Stitch (6) This speaks for itself. She can stitch any kind of wound in several ways and is generally quite skilled with needle and thread.
Remove bullet/object (6) – Also something learned in the ER: carefully removing a small object without causing any damange.

Mental – 2
First aid (4) – Knows what has to be done when someone’s badly wounded, like CPR.

Name: Amy Distatix (Last name is assumed to be an alias. Real last name unknown.)

Age: 19

Nationality: Scottish

Profession: Black Watch Dropout (Scottish Armed Forces)

Appearance & Aesthetic: Amy is just under five and a half foot short with an athletic build. Her fiery red hair sharply contrast with piercing green eyes. Pale skin contrasting with her everyday wear high laced and buckled up combat boots, a woman's kilt of the Black Watch tartan, a simple black-camo t-shirt along with plain black wool armwarmers. She also wears a sturdy leather belt with several small pouches tied to it along with rows of ammunition clips. A pair of weathered brazen goggles adorn her forehead, they are fully functioning eye-protection but serve more of an aesthetic purpose.

Personality: Easy going and bouncy to the point of hyperactivity, Amy usually tries not to be bothered by anything and see every new thing as a challenge. Shrugging or laughing it off is her main way of surviving in this hostile new world of apocalyptic evil. This attitude gains her easy access to the main crowd of survivors with whom she can often raise a smile before quickly befriending them. In a more depraved and self-preserving attitude surfaces when the situation calls for it. Amy won't hesitate to seduce and manipulate those who stand in her path to survival. She's not religious and therefor not bound by any morals but her own. Her general sense of humor is laced with morbidity and her manic attitude can sometimes be easily mistaken for mocking, which tends to get her into trouble a bit.. But all round, Amy is among the least of your worries as she'll only judge you on her own morals rather than those written in some ancient booklet. She's open minded and more importantly, free. And she'd like to keep it that way.

Background: Amy was born in the touristic city of Edinburgh where she spend most of her life. Raised a free thinking atheist by a pair of retired hippies Amy learned that this world is a cruel one and the only way to deal with it is with humor. After high school Amy went with an impulse driven by the feeling that she needed to do what she could to righten the wrongs of this world. Hence she was voluntarily recruited by the Scottish armed forced in 2010.

After her training she was to be deployed along with the better part of troops that were mustered under the banner of the United Nations to fight in the wars when shit hit the fan in June, 2011. Her wits strong and her body a weapon she marched to war with her comrades and was lucky to leave the battlefield unscathed aside from a few minor injuries. When she left she was immediately marked a deserter although the usual follow up of actions was neglected for there were more pressing issues to deal with. At this point Amy fled to America where she took refuge amongst the survivors of the nuclear blast in Washington in the city of New Rock.

Equipment:
- Tavor Assault Rifle: A small and compact assault rifle with a total length of just 24 inches. A single clip carries 27 shots.
- 5 Additional Clips
- A pair of switchblades (concealed): beneath her black fuzzy armwarmers are two switchblades. Amy is quite capable at using them effectively.
- Army surpluss messenger bag
- 3 days ration on food and water

SPAM:

Spirit:
3
- Easy going: Unrestricted by morals and with casual nonchalance Amy almost never panics nor is bothered by things. 1(4)
- Discipline: Whenever she actually feels like it Amy can steel her mind with the discipline she was taught in the army. However, this is not her preferred method of dealing with problems. 1(4)
- Supporter: When everyone else hates you, there's still Amy. You gotta go pretty far to mess up with her. 1(4)

Physical: 3
- Ex-Soldier: With pristine condition and a capable physique Amy doesn't worry much about physical challenges. 2(5)

Agility: 3
- Aimed Shot: Amy is quite able to put a bullet exactly where she wants it. 2(5)

Mental: 3
- Weapon Maintenance; Amy has no problem maintaining her weapon, keeping it clean and efficient. 1(4)
- Manipulation: Amy knows exactly how to get things done and she's won't hesitate to put it to practice. 2(5)
