Aar Harr ship mates. I hear the jungles calling me already. I forsee great opportunities for wandering in circles again, slaughtering the local wildlife/inhabitants again and getting hopelessly lost again. I am sharpening my machete as I type. They don't call me clever dick for nothing

Well first off, how do you guys want to play? I'm familiar with the round-robin and SPAM method. They're easy, and don't require any army books, etc.

Round robin is really easy, we basically take turns writing out the story, no dice, and a GM isn't really needed. Of course you have to cooperate and consider other characters. For a good example of round-robin, look here:

http://www.ulthuan.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=27420

SPAM is also easy, but a bit more structured. You have stats and abilities, but they're pretty simple. For the SPAM system check here:

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q232 ... n/SPAM.jpg

And here for examples of character setup and how it plays.

http://www.ulthuan.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22593

http://www.ulthuan.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22618

Also, I suggest we keep it open for everyone, even *gasp* defender players, especially if its round robin.

I kinda Like the SPAM route, what does everyone else think?

Also we could open it up to outsiders, but we would have to find a hell of a good reason why loyalist would be rolling with the Heralds, we did just burn their island to the ground.

Also where the hell is EviI and Shandiar?

@ Custodian- I have no problems with it, you'll just need come up with a reason by why left your BG and decided to tag along with us.

I've also up dated the list.

I can give it a go and I prefer SPAM, Round Robin really has its holes if someone decides to powergame it.

*kicks down door* Wazzzap?! Just so you are aware, I'm only going to be active during the weekdays, due to a useless home computer... Sign me up anyways. And did I miss bondzy's concluding piece? Please tell me he still has it, I'll need it to write my end piece.

Looks like people prefer the SPAM system, so can everyone who is still interested make up a character sheet and post it here so we can see how many we have? Others can always join up down the road. If you have questions about character creation or anything else, just post here or send me a PM and I'll do my best to answer.

I'm dropping since I'm afraid I'll be as annoyed with Evii as I was with him the entire Campaign. Have fun you guys!

Also, the new smileys are shit.

Thought I would post my character. Have tried to follow the tips from Amun's post. Any suggestions, critique is welcome.

Valandil Eluch. The Red Raider, Shadow Elf.

Valandil is of average build for an elf with very dark brown eyes and long brown hair usually tied back. He wears heavy elvish armour with a high helm, though this has been recently augmented with addition of shoulder pauldrons of human manufacture. Both take the form of a Khornate skull. The armour is black, decorated with dark red detailing. His shield has had his heraldry scorched from it’s surface. He carried two swords slung across his back, but one of them was broken and lost during the last battle on the Isle of the Dead. He is fairly sure that he was killed in the last battle. He has a vague recollection of a great taloned claw descending towards him and the next thing he knew he was stood at the rail of the Black Pearl, watching Ulthuan disappear over the horizon.

In quiet moments he can be found staring at his own hands as if in wonderment and at other times he will often appear vaguely bewildered.

Senses 3
Elvish Senses +2 (5) – Seeing and hearing.
Pathfinder +1 (5) – Navigation.

Physical 3
Sigil of Might +1 (4) – When using his sword.

Agility 4
Warrior of the Shadows +2 (6) – Hiding and creeping.
Brotherhood of the Arrow +1 (5) – Use of a longbow.
Scale Sheer Surface +1 (5) – Climbing.

Mental 2
Signs and Spores +2 (4) – Tracking and hunting.

Belongings.

Sword
3 knives
Longbow and 15 arrows.
20 meters of rope ( Sorry couldn’t help myself. It’s a hangover from my D&D days, I was tempted to have a 10 foot pole and ironrations. But I resisted the urge.)
Reinforced Elven Plate Armour (Does armour do anything in a SPAM game?)
Helmet
Shield

I don't know, but don't worry, the rest of us still love you. :P

@little brother: Looks good to me! I like how you included sigil of might from the campaign.

Its actually Spirit, not Senses, but that doesn't really matter as it includes senses too, and your character doesn't use magic.

Armour does do something. When I roll for combat, it'll add to your saving roll.

wow, it been a really long time since we talked about this! I should take some blame b/c i let a study abroad in China rule my life.

Either way though two things
1. Who's interested in still doing this

2. the Heralds Final fic is very near completion! a 7 month hiatus kinda slowed things down but I'm proud to say it should be up by tonight.

p.S some might see this a thredomancy, but as we ARE evil in nature, so that can only be expected

Oooh how was China?

Count me in, if we can drag enough of those scoundrels back, I miss my fellow Heralds! I suppose I could still run it if needed.

Yes! I loved the fluff you wrote during the campaign. I shall be reading it as soon as I get the chance.
