Re: Tourney list 2500 - feedback welcome
Hail to you, brothers in arms! Thanks for your comments, they are highly appreciated. I did some changes due to your opinions and my thoughts of my opponents in the tourney Lords • Archmage, Level 4 Wizard, Lore of Shadow, Book of Hoeth, Talisman of Preservation Heroes • Mage, High Magic, Level 2 Wi...

Tourney list 2500 - feedback welcome
Hail brothers in arms, I will play a tourney against some friends in some weeks, not deadly competitive, but more fun and relaxing. Still, everyone will invest some thoughts into tough lists. Opponents will be Tomb Kings, VC, Orcs (mainly savage orcs as I know), knights of Bretonnia and the new liza...

Re: Odd archmage Beast build.
With the robes (or was it the talisman?), you are not allowed to attack in melee.
Hence, the fire dragon strategy does not really work. Just challenge a big nasty character (without magic attacks by himself, e.g. demons, etherals etc.) and let your unit do the damage, in terms of CR.

Re: Steed of Shadow - marching?
Don't have my rulebook with me but I am pretty sure that you are allowed to march.
Flyers are allowed to march in the Remaining Moves sub-phase, with a LD test when within 8 inch of an opponent unit, so there is no reason that the spell target may not march.

Re: Unfriendly Combo?
Anyways, this combo of AM, BSB, and bunker unit can work greatly with Shadow or Death on the AM... From my view, the PG unit does not need the Mindrazor spell. The AM can get into challenges (not against "natural" magic attacks of course, e.g. demons, ghosts etc.) and neutralize enemy CM. ...

Re: 2k Highelves vs. O&G
My reg opponent runs very heavy SO lists and they just pump out attacks like no tomorrow especially with dual choppaz and savage Orc boar boys are epic too especially on the charge - quite hard to deal with as a whole. Yeah, that is why I try to decimate these guys as early as possible. But their f...

Re: 2k Highelves vs. O&G
Thanks for the comments guys! Yes, D&D is RiP, it was different in 7. Ed. The Waaagh! Spell is the biggest spell the greenskins have. It gives them the opportunity to advance 2D6 inches and, when in cc, ASF and reroll misses. Pretty nasty as it effects all units. My fault was only that I did not...

Hi folks, had my first 8. Edition game on Saturday at our club meeting. My opponent were O&G, I did not know the player as I hadn't played him before. I was expecting heavy magic defence, thus I choose to take the BoH on my AM. Here my list. AM, BoH (Death) - Spells: Signature, the two Snipers, ...

Your AM is not allowed to cast magic missiles due to the fact that he is in melee "combat". If he has LoS to his target he can cast spells as usual.

No, when charging, flyers add their flying movement of 10" to the highest two of 3D6.do you mean that a GE that charge is 2" + 3D6 and choose the 2 highest ones?

As far as i remember (don't have the BRB with me), units with the rule "fly" are NOT allowed to join any unit.

Costs of Enchanted Shield
In the HE Army Book, the Enchanted Shield comes for a cost of 10 points.
The BRB "offers" it for 5 points, with the same effect.
Does that mean that a HE army pays 5 points more for the shield as the Army Book rules overrule the BRB?

Shooting single CM
Hi folks
Is shooting a single Character modified by -1 as it was in 7. Ed?
Shooting skirmishers is modified by -1, but not single Character seems very strange to me.
As I have the German BRB, this fact might have been lost during translation (wouldn't be the first time).

Interesting idea...
I would drop the radiant gem though, there will be no chance to release a spell successfully with the noble as only mage. I would take the reaver bow instead, gives you more shooting potential.

I'd be a bit wary of enemy shooting as the list stands. Target it with your own I guess. Are the mages going to sit back in the White Lions? Yes, enemy shooting will be target of my shooting and magic (depending on how much fast cav, flyers, or scouts he has). Yes, the wizards shall be protected by...
