Let's be honest, who cares about the wounds on the Bolt thrower. If it hits combat it's generally dead anyways - the extra member (ha ha) doesn't really count for too much. I have much bigger things to hope for with this army. If it's pointed way less I'll be just fiiiiine.

I, for one, am very excited about these models. They just "fit". Fingers crossed for balanced rules.

Your list doesn't seem that bad to me either. Can you give a brief battle report? Maybe we can help figure out what went wrong as Empire certainly isn't over the top and even a "gunline" Empire army isn't too bad.

I have boxes and boxes of White lions, Phoenix guard and chariots to paint. Was holding off for the new book to see how the dust settles. I think, much like WoC and Daemons, that High Elf lists may look significantly different with the new book. Appreciate the compliment though, thank you very much.

I don't think the HE lore should be amazing. Easier to cast maybe, but the last thing this game needs is uber Okkams, Pit, Purple, etc.
