How about velcro! :D In all seriousness though, you can get tiny rare earth magnets that stick together nicely, 1x2mm or 2x2mm or slightly larger ones. You might need 2 of the tiny ones on each part to get a good hold, so the hardest part will be aligning, drilling and gluing them all on... Good luck!

For me I'm most looking forward to finally having more varied options in the Core so we can actually build varied and interesting armies again. It's just a shame they haven't released any new Spearelves, Archers or Silver Helms to build a new army around.

I love the base and your way of painting gold has a really nice rich yellowy brown colour to it, the only things I'm not too keen on are the the pink bit of cloth on the upright spear and also I think the contrast is a little too high on the horses robes. Overall great work though.
