Re: Total Warhammer
Played far too many hours of this game. Imrik is a welcome addition and has some pretty unique challenges. Its nice the asur are not all based in ulthuan.

Re: Total Warhammer
I have literally sank hundreds of hours into both games and in many ways I view it as the evolution of the very first campaigns we did here on this website ages ago. The fact there's three games and they need DLC means we are seeing factions and units that would never be viable in s plastic -mini ec...

Re: How GW is doing?
I bet it's due to there not being a total war game out this year. Also the one they did release has had a very slow doc schedule.
Wouldn't want to get on it but suspect a large portion of their revenue stems from licenses rather than minis these days.

It's important to note that their stock has shot up like crazy in the last couple of years.
Selfishly I want to believe it's due to licensing and not due to the younger generation of games preferring age of sigmar.

Re: Merging a bit more with Druchii and Asrai?
I feel like I should maybe clarify my comments as they were perhaps not articulated well, and I of course mean no disrespect to the various admins who have, as always done their best to protect and secure Ulthuan. By the "hobby" I specifically meant warhammer fantasy table top battles, whi...

Also anything by Brandon Sanderson really like his work not so much for the plots themselves but for the insane level of world building detail he goes into.

Death to the betrayers! How weak has the proud and noble asur become to sink to such low levels as to even consider joining forces with the leather lovers and wood huggers! Only kidding. Look I love this forum and have been here on and off for over half my life (including the earlier sites and the i...

Re: I bet no one remembers me.
Those online campaigns were crazy. Like the time we found out one guy "narmo?" Had a literal legion of alt accounts. Or the time the Asur faction had this whole strategy to box the dawi in whilst doing it Ricold "teleported" them away trying to be helpful but had half the people ...

It's always been a struggle for GW to reconcile the gamer employees they want with the businessmen employees they need. They don't always manage to get it right. My local store is ok now but through the years they have had some characters.

Re: Scottish Independence... maybe
In the interests of full disclosure I was part of the official "No" campaign from the start. That said I think the 'yes' campaign did a much better job of creating a carnival style campaign and used social media to great effect. I don't subscribe to the idea that a single issue , promise o...

Re: Great exploits of over achieving Eagles
Many many years ago 10 of my archers and a mage were attacked by 6 Chaos Knights. The knights and their horses had a bad roll but killed two archers. Incredibly the archers killed a knight and didn't route. The next round of combat my own silver helms flanked the nights but didn't manage to kill any...

Total War developer to make Warhammer games

Re: PG/WL Lore - Gold Armor?
I have a sneaky suspicion it wasn't to do with the lore and more to do with the marketing. The Early PG models looked a lot like the spear elves and painting one gold was probably the easy to way to fix it.

Re: When did Dragon Princes Die?
The simple answer is that they didn't die. It became increasingly difficult to rouse the dragons from their slumber and the Dragon Princes themselves moved onto elven steeds. I'd agree with rdghuizing's estimation although it's not an on off switch: it was a much more phased thing. I think the 3rd b...

Re: GW digital "revolution"
It's sort of a fubar argument as GW are the only producers and therefore can set their price.
The only fear is that if it's too expensive it will drive people away - except that they don't need to worry about that because they know the physical copy is set at a "safe price"

We could do an piece on the mad-king being deposed, with the great houses all colluding to either betray the king or protect the throne?
