A quick question - do you gather one could recreate your Phoenix's visual with warmer purples?

I have considered it but I am already going to use them for my spearelf blocks, and I don't want to saturate the army with them.

Alternative heads for Sisters of Avelorn
Greetings! I am currently working on building up my Sisters of Avelorn unit, which I have been avoiding because I don't really fancy their heads to begin with and I feel they don't really match the Nagarythe theme I want for the Army. As such come here with a quick request for alternative heads to f...

Re: ETC 2016 Votes for 9th Age
If that is so, then alas 9th Age is doomed to fail from its very inception. Quoted for truth. I can not see 9th age succeeding if the the only intention is to create a game for ETC players. Even though the ETC crowd have managed to grab an unwarranted amount of attention based on the number of play...

Re: ETC 2016 Votes for 9th Age
Guys, you are forgetting that all those comps, balancing paches and so on are made for ETC purpose. ETC is the TOURNAMENT, where the ''best'' players all over the world come to play. So... After all, the game is made for the 'mediocre' players (there is a lot more of them) and it needs to be balanc...

Re: The Age Of Sigmar Thread!
A Little off topic, but I picked up my High Elves armybook yesterday just for fun. It felt so much nicer than the online crappy print outs. :? Still have to pick mine up - the beauty of having a toddler-oriented budget :D There might be some gearing back if AoS hurts really bad. I guess we'll be ge...

Re: ETC 2016 Votes for 9th Age
I do not understand the decision to vote for a hero based deathstar game over an actual unit-centric game. I also don't understand to decision to pick a fan based game with no real future over one supported by a company that obviously cares about its game. Do not forget many of these people are dir...

Especially considering neither the US nor the EU GT's embraced AoS. So it's a mess on both sides of the pond.
Of course GW, being GW, won't give a rat's arse about this, as it's competitive gaming, not "the hobby".

Re: English WFB Community Vote
If I am not wrong only 3 countries voted for AoS, England among them. KoW was definitely second and while it didn't get close to 9th Age it was significantly better than the other two options. This bit in particular baffles me. I'd really like to know why they chose AoS for ETC when it's a system t...

I don't believe for a second that stat of just 20% of their customers being gamers. Maybe gamers who play in store, but no way is that an accurate number. Also gamers tend to buy significantly more than painters and collectors; what use does a painter have for legions of unpainted models? They're m...

Re: Elves of Light - Feedback, Asurion's your Voice...
Swordmasters as a horrors-type unit is a pretty good idea as right now they don't have much of a role in the army. Hand of Glory and a Magic Missile would work well for them. They'd need a ward save (4+) to keep them alive, so a major points increase as well probably. Or maybe not so major given ho...

So basically, you all feel like you had your backs stabbed by GW. I agree Spell, but I think this is just shy of a total rupture with the player base, really.

I will try to keep my cool as this thread start had the scent of flamebait and this issue hits close to my heart. Still... The whys. 1. The Rules. Or better, the lack of. The AoS "free" rules are non-existant as rules. End of. It has no complexity or depth in its 4-page oversimplification....

So? < 0 is just 0. This isn't a WFB vs AoS thing. It's GW not understanding who their customers are. And it should be noted that the kid - did - get him to buy WHFB models to begin with, while AoS is still considered a no-no by the father... the same man who previously authorized WHFB to be purchas...

Re: Games Workshop AGM: A relentless profit machine
only about 20% of Games Workshop’s customers are gamers There seems to be some scepticism over this figure. Ie did they just roll the contents of one of the new dice shakers and add the numbers up? Seems legit. Especially considering that the following words came in the 2014 annual report: "Ou...
