He's much easier to KB now though.

I don't think he's worth it actually. He's expensive as he is, adding 2 mages for the sake of buffing him makes him even more costly.

I'd run him "as-is", or in a unit with BotWD, nothing more.

No they can't march, for the same reason you don't see marching Necrosphinxes, marching Carrions, marching flying Black Coaches, etc.

The 6+ parry regardless of weapon proved to be false.

But then, it's pretty easy to get a 6+ ward on most of our units anyway (Dragonarmour, Anointed, Lore attribute from High magic)

I think the majority here are underestimating the magical prowess and intelligence of a Vampire, especially if that Vampire is Mannfred von Carstein.

I can see this on a unit of 15-30 archers, joined by a Seahelm or Handmaiden.

Is it the most competitive choice? No.
Is it effective? Depends on who you're fighting.
Is it fun? Hell yeah!

Untill they FAQ it I'll play it that it's doesn't stack. (you can only freeze so much before you...die. )

But with that said, it's very unlikely that I play with 2 Frosthearts in the same list. I'd rather play with one of each.
