Re: Mages and Wizards in 9th Age
Sry to disappoint you, but there are few problems with this list. First, having 'Prince of Rhyma' honor is setting zero limit to Peacekeepers, meaning Sea Guard Reapers or Gray Watchers are not allowed in such list. So, I would move PoR honor from the Lord, so you could have quality shooting in the ...

Re: 2016 Painting Challange
Actually, Jade Green ;) I think Jade fits great with red and orange tones, so I wanted to try and I think is turned fine... I still want to add more NMM highlighting on the model and to increase blue shading since it is not visible on the pic, but model is 99% completed. Soon, there will be more pai...

Re: 2016 Painting Challange
I have Airbrush Compressor AS-186 and it costed me app 100 Euros, but it is good investment, you don't need anything more than that. Damn, that's expensive, it's around 60 euros in Poland. I agree, buy one with a tank. - Airbrush gun: for the beginning you should take some cheap one, until you mast...

I realized today that BSB build is illegal :? Fire Phoenix can be used as a mount only with High Warden of the Flame honor. In that setup it cost 840 points  I have to throw out SGR, QC and some other things... One question....can mounted character wield magical weapon Spear of the Blazing Do...

Re: HBE 5000 pts tourney list
Thank you for prompt reply guys ! I'm taking my time to read some 9th Age rules so I'll try and comment ;) I understand that the Knights of Ryma are your main hammer - they seem to get approx. a gazzilion attack on the charge and at S7 to boot. Thats a good strategy but they are an obvious target fo...

Re: 2016 Painting Challange
In my experience, once you've cleaned off the mould lines you've done the biggest part. Assembling him was pretty easy. At least in mine it all fit together nicely. And at least the flamespire is pretty easy to paint. Not a lot of finicky, weird details to figure out. Especially if you have an airb...

Mostly classical these days. I know Aicanor for one is a metal fan and I have some old friends who are big Iron Maiden fans. I liked Metallica's old stuff. Nice, post classic as well. Re: PLOG: Myth's defenders of Ulthuan (and their allies)
Thanks RE.L and PoS! Great unit. Nice and dark. I personally prefer these old SW to the newer ones. The helmeted faces somehow always look a bit weird to me. As for Alith Anar, he's ace. Have you also tried him in a game (in that SW unit or outside it)? I still have to paint mine up and I'm wonderin...

Re: PLOG: Myth's defenders of Ulthuan (and their allies)
Thank you Rod! ;) The base is very cool as well. How did you do it? Rod Base 50*100 is from Fantascape range (Elven runes, I'm using the same for rest of my elves). On top of that I did apply Scibor's basing kit parts (Eveln ruins theme, Elven statue head is from that kit and part with the leg) and ...

Re: PLOG: Myth's defenders of Ulthuan (and their allies)
I'm never sure what to think when people do the wings like that, and do a nice job of it (when it's lousy there is no dilemma). It looks really cool. I'm just not sure I like dragon wings with images on them. I do understand the temptation, it's a big surface. It makes it seem like it needs "s...

Next was a Lord on the dragon. I've painted dragon two years ago, but soon after I moved away some time from WH, so the rider remained pending. I decided to finish it now and complete this centerpiece model for the army. Back then, it was supposed to be a Star Dragon....I guess it is obvious :) http...

Re: PLOG: Myth's defenders of Ulthuan (and their allies)
I started to paint Tyrion somewhere in May/Jun 2016, but the summer had come and simply he had to wait for better timing I know that feeling. I have a handmaiden and everqueen that I started back then. I haven't gotten around to finishing them yet, but they are back on the painting table, so that's...

Dragon looks awesome! I didn't see your update from 11th Oct until now.... The pose is unique and I like how you built it with various bits. Green stuff work is really great, especially the scales on the back and front clutches. Elyrian reaver already looks good, can't wait to see him fully painted....
