Yeah, you have only have that one unit that can kill things so I don't see it working all that much, especially when you are going up against GT players. They can make things less similar by giving armies/units different rules. By adding these charts they will slow games down and insert unecessary things that will take away from the enjoyment of warhammer. Some of those random effects remind me of the more annoying scenarios I've seen at tournaments.

It all seems so very overcomplicated...
GW wanted to streamline things with 8th edition and then they allow the creation of those charts...they will end up slowing the game down

I'd keep the standard bearer if you're going to a tournament. You might need it for the Blood and Glory scenario or for another that is similar.
